What We Do

Student Requirements
Must be a current HHS student or an invited incoming 8th-grade student who is in good standing with the band program.
Follow band and school rules, policies, and staff instructions
Be a great human to all. Kindness, understanding, flexibility, focus, attention, and effort are choices we constantly make. Be a connector, not a divider. Be a teammate of equality - our ability to unite determines our level of success.
Placement on instruments and/or sections is determined by a consideration based on staff evaluations, prior experience/skills, and balance of team needs. The band director determines placement with the input from the caption head staff.

Marching band is a unique blend of movement and music, a high-energy performance activity that challenges students artistically, musically, physically, and socially. It combines precision and creativity, discipline and expression, in ways few other activities can.
